These terms apply to your use of apostolidis-law.com (the “website”), operated by the law office of Vasileios A. Apostolidis, Skoufa 26, Kolonaki, 106 73 Athens, Greece (“we”, “us”). By using the website you accept them.
1. General information only, not legal advice
The content of this website, including articles and guides, is general information. It is not legal advice and does not take your particular circumstances into account. Laws and official practice change often; Golden Visa rules, crypto-asset regulation and tax rules are good examples. Every page and article shows when it was written or last reviewed. Always ask a lawyer about your own situation before you act or decide not to act.
2. No lawyer–client relationship through the website
Using the website, sending a form, emailing or calling us does not make you our client. A lawyer–client relationship starts only when:
- we have checked that there is no conflict of interest; and
- we have confirmed in writing that we will act for you, normally in an engagement letter that also sets out our fees.
Until then, please send only the information we need to understand your request. Do not send confidential documents, and do not rely on us to meet any deadline.
3. No guaranteed outcome
Past results do not guarantee similar results. This applies especially to fraud and asset-recovery matters, where the outcome depends on facts and on parties outside our control.
4. Fees
Consultations and fees are agreed directly with us. The website does not take payments or bookings that are binding on you.
5. Using the website
You may view and print pages for your own, non-commercial use. You may not:
- copy, republish or adapt the content (texts, photos, logo, design) without our written permission, except short quotations with a link to the source;
- try to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the website, or send malicious code;
- use the forms to send unsolicited advertising, or to impersonate someone else.
The website content belongs to us or is used with permission. The firm’s name and logo are ours.
6. Links to other websites
Links to other websites (for example authorities, Legal 500 or maps) are for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for them.
7. Liability
We take care to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is complete, current or free of errors or interruptions. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the website’s general information. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited under Greek law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence. Our liability to clients is governed by the engagement letter.
8. Languages
The website is available in English, Greek, Arabic and Chinese. If the language versions differ, the English version prevails.
9. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens have jurisdiction. This does not take away any mandatory protection you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
